With less than one month remaining until the conclusion of the LaLiga Santander and LaLiga Smartbank 2022/23 seasons, the first details of the 2023/24 season are being disclosed. And it appears the organization led by Javier Tebas will undergo significant adjustments for the upcoming campaign. At least, so far as the league’s reputation is concerned.
LaLiga logo goes LL loco
Santander, the bank that has held the naming rights of the First and Second Divisions for the past six seasons, will not be present in the upcoming season, as EA Games will assume its place. Therefore, the league title will be known as LaLiga. EA Sports FC, referring to the new rebranding of the classic ‘FIFA’ video game series as EA Sports FC.
However, not only will the name alter, but so will the brand’s image. According to the website Footy Headlines, which is renowned for its success in divulging kits, logos, and other football information, the LaLiga logo will appear drastically different than it has for many seasons.
The classic logo of an orb surrounded by seven multicolored bars will no longer exist, which is the most notable change. The design is streamlined, adopting a monochromatic appearance with pale red as the primary color and a double ‘L’ motif to represent LaLiga.
