The suspension of Max Scherzer has ended, and he makes his long-awaited, well-rested return to the ballpark he once called home. Mad Max has not thrown a pitch since April 19. Scherzer has a 3.01 ERA, 1.116 WHIP, 365 strikeouts, and 99 walks in 54 starts after six or more days of rest. Additionally, he has a career 3.28 ERA and 1.174 WHIP at Comerica Park.
He will be facing a Tigers team with a -15 run differential at home this season.
